What is Health Sharing?

Health sharing

Health Sharing is a medical cost-sharing program run by a nonprofit community.    Members pay a fixed monthly contribution into a shared fund instead of insurance premiums.  For qualifying medical events (e.g., emergencies, hospitalization, surgery), members first pay an Initial Unshareable Amount ($1,250–$5,000, chosen at enrollment).  The community then shares the remaining eligible costs from the pooled funds.
